Texas, United StatesMay 1 – May 30, 20258 events

Eight of the most intense, fully-enriched severe convective storm events with major hail from Texas in May 2025 — the peak month of the 2025 season. Coverage spans five storm days across Burnet, Concho/Irion, DFW, Dickens/Crosby, and Midland. Each event includes ground-truth hail reports, MRMS MESH radar swath polygons, and severe thunderstorm warning polygons with hail tags.

  • 222 measured/estimated hail reports
  • 263 MRMS MESH radar hail swaths (WKT polygons)
  • Severe thunderstorm warnings with hail/wind tags

CSV bundle contents

  • hazards.csvone row per hail hazard with flattened assessment
  • hail_reports.csvmeasured/estimated hail reports (size, location, source)
  • mesh_swaths.csvMRMS MESH radar hail swaths (WKT polygons)

  • The CSV bundle contains flattened relational views joined on hazard_uuid / uuid. Coordinates are WGS84 (EPSG:4326); geometry columns are WKT.

Individual hazard records may carry titles like "Tornado — Burnet [TX]" because severe convective storm hazards anchor on the parent storm event. These records are severe convective storm events with major hail — not tornadoes.
